Considerations for Developing Your Web Site - The Process

The Process
Now that you are ready to have Emerging Creations develop your site, this is the process for completion. Granted, this is very briefly outlined, but it does provide an idea of the process involved with the development.
  1. Define the Site goals
    2. What are your objectives for the Web Site? Increase your customer base, provide informational knowledge, or give your clients the ability to reach you at their convenience.

  2. Define the Audience
    3. Who is your target audience? This is important for your business to proceed in the right direction. Knowing this and applying this will help your site to excel.

  3. Competitive analysis
    4. We can show you how your competition is displaying their services and products. Certain things to help you out on your own site and certain things to avoid on your site.

  4. Develop list of content and functional requirements
    5. This is where you submit the information and material for the site. From this we can develop the initial requirements for the site.

  5. Organize Site Structure
    6. Organization of all the material into an easily navigated site.

  6. Define Navigation
    7. To determine how a viewer moves through the site and how you want them directed. Also developed are the types of links and quantity required for the site.

  7. Design Site Layout
    8. The actual development of individual pages with the material and information which was provided at beginning. All the information is put together to be displayed.

  8. Testing of Site
    9. Testing of web pages in a variety of browsers and environments in attempt to reproduce how viewers visualize the site. Correct errors, problems and test again. This process is actually constantly ongoing during the development of the site. Limitations are usually addressed early in the process to avoid prolonged programming issues.

  9. Completion
    10. At this point the site is ready for viewers and the internet.
